Developing microalgal bioenergy is regarded as one of the most promising strategies for tackling global issues such as energy crisis, climate change and environmental pollution. The engineering laboratory uses modern technology to screen microalgae species which have fast growth rate, strong environmental adaptability and high energy density. High-efficiency microalgal bioenergy processes are developed to promote a technological reform in the production of renewable energy that integrated with CO2 sequestration and water contaminants removal, which takes domestic sewage, organic wastewater and industrial waste gas as feedstock, and uses specific microbes for COD rapid degradation.
