Shenzhen Carbon Storage Cement-based Materials Engineering Laboratory was founded in 2016. The laboratory is equipped with domestic and foreign advanced materials, achieving the remote operation, storage, real-time observation and other auxiliary technology.
The laboratory is rooted in the national key disciplines of civil engineering and has been actively carrying out the cooperation with popular international universities, outstanding academic groups and enterprises based on carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery and utilization projects. The laboratory has been also organizing the relevant academic seminars and technical exchanges between the specialists all over the world. The research team focuses on the study of CO2 absorption process, supercritical carbonation, low-pressure accelerated treatment of cement solidified, waste management and resource recovery, green building materials and so on. In recent years, the laboratory has participated to several research projects as the principle investigator, which included the National Natural Science Foundation of China project, provincial and ministerial projects, Shenzhen and enterprise cooperation projects and published a plenty of high-impact factor articles, as well as the authorized national invention patents.
Shenzhen Carbon Storage Cement-based Materials Engineering Laboratory is aimed at the research of waste management and resource recovery, green building materials, etc., relying on the superior resources of Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, by process optimization and technical practice, combining with the requirements of environment changing trends to promote the low-carbon, environment-friendly, and sustainable materials develop in construction industry.
